Our first... (of a couple)

Monday was a big big day for us! We finalized the lease papers that starts us in the process of buying our home. Funny enough this house is right straight in the middle of the commute from my work to my husbands work. Ok.. maybe 10 mins more towards my side but still! So we explored our new town for a little bit before meeting the landlord there and oh lord! Thank god the hubby didnt take me through that town before hand. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! Its right on the bay so the whole historic downtown area is this Swedish Boating themed main street. Found several shops that sold a little bit of everything that unfortunately should we go shopping there, we would have to take a 2nd out on the house!!! We definitely found some "let's save our pennies" pieces that we will be back for (if they are still there). We ended up at a Antique Store and was wandering through and found this beautiful little guy!

So its the first piece of furniture in our first house together. BIG BIG day in our lives! We got the keys last night and we are moving in this Saturday... so happy to have finally found our home sweet home!!!!

Blogging from the phone??? No way!!!

Well this now gives the hubs yet ANOTHER reason to hate my phone... But this is really just a test post so I'll add a pic and call it good! :)

Um.. hello world...

Hello Hi Hola! I have been thinking about taking up blogging for a while now. I have a feeling this will be more of a photo journal/blog then anything really important like. LOL I take a ton of pictures and I know all my Facebook friends have been deleting my posts from their news feed since I bombard it with photos of where we have been, what we are doing and what we buy... SO.... I thought since I am newly married and we are buying a home here (like in the next week.. YIKES!) I thought why shouldn't I just blog about it. Plus lately I have been uber bored at work and this would keep me occupied... added bonus is that it LOOKS like I am working while I type ;)

I am sure my hubby will write here sometimes too... If I let him on the computer.. Once we are in our home we have BIG plans for renovations and decorating, etc. I dont think this will be primarily a home decor blog.. but more of all over Homestead kind.. what we do at home, what we made, etc.

Any who... welcome to the family! You are more than welcome to pull of a chair.. grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine or a Mtn Dew (if you are one of the hubby's friends) and get to know us!!!
